Lawal Emerges As Board Chairman of Youth Organization
Hamzat Lawal, the CEO of Connected Development (CODE), has been appointed as the Chairman of a Non Governmental Organization, Nottooyoungtolead,
According to a Press Statement by the Founder and Chief Executive of the organization, Ambassador Elvis Akpobi, he said the appointment of the new Chairman is a significant move focused on advancing youth empowerment in Africa.
He added: “Lawal is no doubt an intelligent and versatile leader. His appointment is strategic and it reflects his extensive contributions to youth development across the continent.
Akpobi explained that Nottooyoungtolead is poised to empower young leaders and advocate for their inclusion in decision-making processes.
“With Lawal’s wealth of experience and expertise, the initiative is poised for accelerated progress under his strategic leadership.
Joining Lawal on the advisory board are Monicah Mbiyu from Kenya, Ambassador Samuel J. Kpator from Liberia, Ambassador Musa Idris Buko from Nigeria, and Ambassador Ousman from The Gambia.”
The Executive Director added that each member of the board brings unique expertise and a track record of fostering youth growth and leadership in Africa.
“The newly appointed Chairman and Members of the Advisory Board of the Nottooyoungtolead are personalities with exemplary leadership prowess and track records who has not only made impacts towards the growth of Youths but has advocated for Youths Inclusiveness in decision making in Africa.”
He said the appointments highlight a commitment to nurturing exemplary leadership and advancing youth inclusiveness in decision-making across the continent.
